Lovely - smells great - glass dropper and bottle

This essential oil is very very nice. First of all, it comes in a glass bottle with a glass dropper, which is amazing because I prefer glass over plastic droppers. The dropper is not marked though with measurements just to let you know.I like that it is clearly marked vegan, which I am, but most essential oils are as well. And it arrived boxed in good order.I got this to use in diffusers. I have waterless diffusers as well as water diffusers. And I know that frankincense is actually a resin. That’s why they have to distill it with steam to get what they consider essential oil. This stuff smells so good. It smells woody and it smells earthy. It is just so refreshing. It is great to use at the office. It keeps me energized it keeps me going and invigorates me and it makes my area smell amazing. Also, a little goes a really long way. And I really appreciate that. Very very nice.

Generous 4 oz Bottle with a Warm, Authentic Frankincense Aroma

I have really been enjoying this frankincense essential oil. The scent is warm, earthy, slightly resinous, and calming without being overpowering. Frankincense is one of those classic fragrances that instantly creates a peaceful atmosphere, and this one smells clean and natural to me.I'm still learning about essential oils and the many ways people use frankincense. According to the packaging, it can be used in diffusers, diluted with a carrier oil for massage or skin care, added to bath products, incorporated into candle making, or blended into homemade perfumes. One reason I was interested in frankincense is its long history of use in meditation, relaxation practices, and wellness routines. One thing I appreciate is the simple ingredient list. The bottle lists only Boswellia serrata, and the company emphasizes steam distillation and the absence of unnecessary additives. The amber glass bottle feels appropriate for protecting the oil, and the 4-ounce size is quite generous compared to many essential oils I've seen for sale. The bottle arrived intact with no leakage, and the cap seals securely. It also includes a dropper insert that helps control dispensing so you can add just a few drops at a time. The oil itself has a pale yellow color and appears clean and consistent. As a cat owner, I personally do not diffuse essential oils throughout my apartment and instead choose to enjoy this in my car. I recently picked up a solar-powered diffuser with a tiny spinning globe on top, and this has become my fragrance of choice for it. After using it for several days, I would describe the scent as somewhat subtle, but in a good way. It lingers pleasantly without becoming overwhelming, which I appreciate in a small space like a vehicle. The packaging is fairly simple rather than luxurious, but I actually prefer that. I'd rather see the money spent on the product itself than on elaborate packaging that will ultimately end up in the recycling bin. This is a fragrance I genuinely look forward to using. Every drive feels a little calmer when that warm frankincense scent starts drifting through the car, and I can see this bottle lasting a very long time.

Gentle Frankincense scent

The media could not be loaded.

This Frankincense oil has a light, or shall I say, gentle scent in comparison to another brand of Frankincense oil that I own. This oil is also about $6/ounce where the oil I own is $35/ounce. So the quality may have a vast difference. This oil by Rootsar only states on the box that it is from India. There are no certifications. Though the box says ā€œUSDAā€, it does not state ā€œUSDA Certifiedā€ nor does is state Organic Certifiedā€. It says ā€œOrganic in our valuesā€. Which is nice, but what does that mean to the consumer? The advertised photo of the oil is yellow, but the actual product is clear.A 4 ounce bottle for under $24 is definitely a bargain. I’m not quite sold on the quality just yet. I’ll have to give this product more time before giving it 5 stars.

Good strong smell

At 4 ounces, this is a nice frankincense oil with a long-lasting scent. The oil is a little waterier than what I am used to but so far, the quality appears to be good. The oil works well in a diffuser, but my main uses are different: I like to keep some of it handy for long driving trips - a few drops close to my nose and forehead help me with relaxation and focusing. I also like to mix this oil with other essential oils and then use a small spray bottle to create an oily surface on the lower part of my legs before going hiking in poison ivy infested places. Overall, a generous sized bottle of nice organic frankincense essential oil.

Very fragrant and should last quite some time

This is a pretty good volume of Frankincense Oil! I've used Frankincense in the past, usually gifted to me by my mom, so I am somewhat familiar with the benefits, and being about 4x volume, I'm confident I will have it on hand for quite some time.First, I really appreciate the dropper. Other brands I've used have the plastic drip-cap, and I always seem to struggle to get any oil out, or use too much. The glass dropper will allow me to visually see how much I'm using, a must for diffusers.Being 100% oil, it's important to dilute it in a carrying oil if you're using it topically. I prefer using coconut oil for this. I've even brought it to my workspace and just having the open bottle nearby, or placing a few drops near my computer helps with the aromatic effect.I am getting a lot more oil that is mentioned on the product listing is 100%, and for about 1/4 the cost of other brands I've used. I included the high value in my review.Having such a good volume, this gives me freedom to experiment with Frankincense with more applications.

Excellent Aroma

I love nothing but a relaxed warm bath at the end of the day and a diffuser running some essential oils before the bed. This essential oil is a versatile product that could be used in myriad of ways. I typically use it in diffusers but if you are some one that tries mixing essential oils to unscented lotions and using on the skin, this is a great option. This comes in a huge 4-oz dark amber colored bottle that is going to last me a long time. The dark amber colored bottle protects its contents from sunlight and degradation and since this is going to last me a long time, the last thing I need is washed out and degraded fragrance.Product wise, this is of great quality. The fragrance brings a warm earthy and woody feeling when used in my diffusers. This product can also be turned into a after shower lotion or body oil but since I never used essential oils for that purpose, I did not try. If this is something you are interested in, this versatile product is a great choice. The ingredients listed are natural and organic. This is a huge bottle for the price given and I am going to enjoy this for a long time.

One of those scents you immediately feel you already know--super relaxing, earthy, woodsy, calming

I thought this item was going to be my first time experiencing frankincense, but it turns out I recognized the scent right away when I opened the bottle. It's definitely got a warm, earthy, woodsy kind of quiet scent to it that is unique in its own way. It reminds me of so many spas and things I've either been in or been around or walked past. It's hard to describe, imo, but I would say it's just really, really "natural" without screaming at you at all. This arrived in an amber glass bottle which is great for keeping light out and preserving the product for as long as possible. The cap is an eye dropper for easy application, however you intend to use it. I guess you can use it for soaps, candles, massages, etc...but I'm not at all familiar with how those or made and how much of this such products and processes might use. We're not so adventurous with it...yet. And so far, we have been using it fairly sparingly, testing, as a little does indeed seem to go a long way. I think this bottle will last quite a while. The apparent quality of this makes me want to try other products from this same brand. I have not yet tried this in a proper diffuser, but that's our next step. I could see this being used in all kinds of self-care ways (and it probably IS used in most or all of those ways). This was listed at $23.49 for the 4 fl oz bottle. I am not super well-versed in aromas and oils, but this seems like a decent enough price for something that smells the way this smells, that transports me the way this does, that's well-packaged and a large quantity that we are using sparingly enough, so far, that it feels like it will last a very, very long time indeed.

High quality clean scent

This frankincense oil has a fresh, natural aroma without smelling artificial or overly diluted. I've used it in my diffuser as well as mixed with a carrier oil, and it's performed well both ways. The bottle pours cleanly, and the scent lasts longer than some other essential oils I've tried. If you enjoy frankincense, this is a quality option that's worth considering.

Excellent Product, Great Bargain!

This Frankincense essential oil is a wonderful product and a huge bargain! At 4 fluid ounces and $23.49 for the bottle, it is a much better deal than some of the more widely known essential oil brands. The oil is in an amber-colored glass bottle with a dropper lid. The amber-colored glass helps protect the oil from light, which can degrade it over time. I was really happy to see that the bottle matched the product description. The aroma of the frankincense essential oil is pleasing, woody, and strong enough to carry. I am very happy with this product and can't wait to try other oils from this brand.

great scent ~

I like the scent of this essential oil. It smells nice and seems to be good quality. It worked well with my diffuser. The bottle will last me a long time because I only use a few drops each time. I am able to control how much oil I use with the dropper. The oil makes my room smell quite nice. The bottle is well made, and the dropper is useful. Overall, I am happy with it so far. I have not had any issues whatsoever.

Great woody, earthy scent

I ordered the Frankincense essential oil. This fragrance has a nice, woody, earthy scent. The package includes the bottle of oil with a spill-proof cap and a glass dropper cap as well for precise measurement. The only ingredient listed is Boswellia Serrata. The 4oz bottle provides a generous amount of oil. The recommended applications include use in diffusers, massage, candle making, aromatherapy, skin care, and bathing. If you're looking for a quality oil that provides a lasting scent, this would be a good one to try.

A Generous Bottle of Frankincense With a Rich, Earthy Scent

This frankincense oil has a warm, resinous aroma that works well in a diffuser or properly diluted for other intended uses. The four-ounce bottle is considerably larger than many essential-oil containers, so I do not feel as though I am dispensing it from a museum sample. The dropper makes it easier to control the amount, and the scent has good depth without immediately taking over the entire house. I am not making medical claims for it; I simply enjoy the fragrance and the calm atmosphere it helps create. Not the same as Young Living Oils which are more for theraupeutic work.

Many uses and works great to make my own rollers with carrier oil

I’m really happy with this frankincense oil. The 4 oz bottle is a great size and feels like it will last me a long time, especially since the dropper makes it easy to use just a few drops without wasting any. The scent is warm, earthy, and calming without smelling artificial or overpowering.I also appreciate that it comes in an amber glass bottle, which makes it feel better protected and higher quality than oils I’ve bought in clear plastic bottles before. I’ve mostly been using it in my diffuser and mixed with a carrier oil, and a little goes a long way. Overall, this feels like a good value and a solid choice if you like frankincense oil.

Fresh Aroma, Smooth Diffusion, and Versatile for Home & DIY Use

This 100% pure, cold‑pressed bergamot essential oil has a bright, citrus‑fresh aroma with a soft herbal undertone, making it a versatile choice for diffusers, massage blends, and DIY projects. The 4 oz bottle provides a generous amount, especially compared to the smaller sizes typically sold for aromatherapy. The scent disperses cleanly in a diffuser and creates a refreshing, uplifting atmosphere without being overpowering. The oil has a smooth consistency that blends well with carrier oils for massage or skincare applications. It also works nicely in candle and soap making, adding a natural citrus note that holds up well during the crafting process. The glass bottle and dropper make it easy to control the amount used, which is helpful when working with stronger citrus oils.Overall, this bergamot essential oil offers strong value with its purity, pleasant aroma, and wide range of uses. Whether for aromatherapy, personal care, or homemade products, it performs reliably and provides a clean, natural fragrance that enhances any routine.

Strong earthy fragrance

I really like the Rootsar essential oils and was glad to be able to try the Frankincense oil. For the price (currently $23.49), you get a large 4 oz bottle which is a great value. The fragrance is fairly strong so you don't need much of this if you're using purely for scent in a diffuser or candle. I like to mix a few drops into jojoba oil and massage onto my skin before using a lymphatic drainage tool, and it works perfectly for this. I have another frankincense oil that does seem to be a bit thicker in consistency than this one but I'm not confident of that oil's purity versus this one. Just be aware that this oil is quite thin and drippy. This oil comes in a dark glass bottle to prevent quality degradation from uv exposure and also includes a dropper for easier application. I am pleased with this oil and have had no issues with skin irritation at all.

Generous sized bottle for frankincense fans

If you’re a fan of the frankincense fragrance, the per-ounce value here is good. You get an amber glass bottle that not only looks good but helps protect the contents from light. It’s shipped with a cap and plastic stopper, so no leakage. And it includes a stopper applicator that comes in handy for dispensing — or for filling into a smaller diffuser bottle. If you’re not familiar with frankincense then probably start with a cheaper/smaller tester, because it’s something you either love or hate. If you love it, this product is a great option.

A Deep, Grounding Frankincense That Turns My Whole Space Into Calm Mode

Frankincense has always been one of those scents I associate with calm, grounding energy, so I was curious to see how this Rootsar version would compare.Right away, the aroma is exactly what I was hoping for: warm, resinous, slightly woody, and very earthy in that comforting way that makes a room feel quieter the moment you start diffusing it. It doesn’t smell sharp or overly perfumed—it has that natural depth that feels like it belongs in a spa or meditation space rather than something synthetic or ā€œfragrance-y.ā€I’ve been using it mainly in a diffuser in the evenings, and it really helps shift the atmosphere from ā€œday modeā€ into something slower and more intentional. It’s subtle, but noticeable in a way that makes the whole space feel a bit more settled.I also like that it’s a larger bottle because frankincense is one of those oils I tend to reach for regularly, especially when I want a grounding scent without mixing too many things together. A few drops go a long way, so even with frequent use, it feels like it will last quite a while. It also blends nicely if you like creating your own diffuser mixes. I’ve paired it with lighter citrus oils before, and it helps anchor the brighter scents without overpowering them.At around $24, it feels like a solid value for a 4 oz bottle, especially considering how little you need per use. It also feels like a quality oil rather than something diluted or overly processed, which makes a difference when you’re using it regularly in your home.Overall, this is a really grounding, well-balanced frankincense oil that fits beautifully into a calm-home or evening wind-down routine. It’s simple, effective, and exactly the kind of scent I reach for when I want my space to feel a little more peaceful.

Fancy Frankincense

I had not tried Frankincense essential oil before and ran across this Rootsar oil. There are many uses for this Frankincense oil such as using it in a diffuser, making perfume or candles etc. I intend to use it in a diffuser so I can't really speak to other applications. The smell is nice and calming. This brand, Rootsar makes its oils from earthy ingredients such as Boswellia Serrata. This is my first experience with Frankincense essential oil but it won't be my last. This is a high quality oil but a little on the expensive side in regards to the 4 oz size. Overall, a nice, quality product.

Good First Impression, But Too Early to Fully Evaluate

This is a first-impression review based on receiving the product. I plan to update after I've had time to use it regularly in topical applications with a carrier oil.Out of the box, the Rootsar Frankincense Essential Oil makes a solid initial showing. The 4 oz amber glass bottle is a genuine plus in this category. Amber glass protects the oil from light degradation, and most competing oils at this size use the same approach, but the bottle here feels substantial and well-made. The included dropper works as expected for this type of product. The scent on first exposure is pleasant and authentically frankincense in character, with the warm, resinous, earthy quality you want from this oil. Nothing jumped out as synthetic or off. Whether that scent holds up in actual use, either in a diffuser or diluted with a carrier oil for topical application, is something I'll be able to speak to after more time with it.The listing claims organic sourcing and GC/MS purity testing, which are meaningful quality signals in the essential oil category where adulteration is a real concern. The oil is Boswellia Serrata, sourced from India, which is consistent and appropriate for that species. What Rootsar does not provide, at least in the materials I received, is easy access to the actual GC/MS batch documentation. The claim is there, but being able to verify it would strengthen buyer confidence considerably. On price, $23.49 for 4 oz is on the higher end of this category. Comparable 4 oz frankincense oils from well-established brands typically run $10 to $16. Rootsar may justify the premium through quality, but that is something I can only evaluate over time. At current pricing, it is a harder recommendation to make for buyers who are already familiar with this oil and have a trusted source.Who should consider this: buyers looking for a large-format frankincense oil who want amber glass packaging, a dropper included, and organic sourcing claims, and who are comfortable trying a newer brand at a premium price.Who should wait: buyers who want a confirmed Boswellia species, third-party lab documentation they can actually access, or the best per-ounce value in this category. There are more established options at lower prices. I will update this review after extended use.
